MinMaxExtender is a utility that enhances the standard windows,
adding new buttons next to the Minimize button in the titlebar.
Using the buttons, the user can stretch the
window across the screen, hide it to a trayicon, hide all
of the window apart from the titlebar or make the window stay
on top of others. The user can exclude some windowtypes from
beeing extended and choose which buttons to be visible.

French added to the supported languages.

There are now a few language support files on the language
download page. If you think you can provide other languages,
please don't hesitate to try translating MMExt. Also had
some suggestions on new functions. We really need to make a
new GUI that works better with the various lengths of the
localized controls. Since Windows doesn't resize buttons and
controls according to the length of the text on them, some
translated strings are clipped at the edges. We also want to
make all options available on registry level available in
the GUI, but it could get really messy if we don't make a
new GUI.

MinMaxExtender is released in version 1.2.1.0. Compared to
1.2.0.0, this version can "un-stretch" windows, be translated
into other languages and there has been a few bug fixes. You
can get the zip-archive at the download page.

Well, here we go again. This version has a quite nice behaviour when
un-stretching windows. But the really sweet thing is that
MMExt now can easily be translated into other languages. But
since we don't speak very many languages our selves, we
would apprechiate your help on this matter. If you speak
another language than english, take a few minutes to
translate the program and send your work to us. More
information on this matter can be found in the zip-file. You
can find language support files here.
You can download the program here.

Some of the new features are in place and needs testing. And
what better way to test an application, but to release it as
a fresh new beta? So go ahead and download the new version and then
let us know what you think.

A little bug was found by a user and the TODO-list gets another one.

Input and ideas from a user gets things moving again. The
TODO-list is updated with new features and ideas.

It had to be released sooner or later anyway, so why not
now? The 1.2.* version has a lot more features than 1.1 had
and several requests from users has been implemented. Find
the file on the download-page.

"Hmmm, wasn't there something we were supposed to do...", we
were thinking the other day. After a while we came to think
of MMExt, which has been unattended for quite a while. So we
sat down and made a new beta. This beta should be more or
less fully functional, if it isn't: let us know. Download here.

New beta-release. This version can log its errors and should
be a quite well-behaved application. Download here.

Ready or not, here is the betaversion of MMExt v1.2.0.0. Download
it and send bugreports to us.
2001 Jul 22
Well, the code is written and is brilliant and perfect in
every way, now all we have to do is to figure
out why it doesn't work... As can be seen on the TODO-list,
version 1.2.0.0 will have a load of features that hopefully
will make it less annoying and more useful. No more features
will be added to this version. Debugging will take quite a
while, then beta-testing and then, finally, we can release it
in a couple of weeks (knock on wood). Keep suggestions
coming in on what functions to add.
2001 Jul 04
The new release went back around the corner. Inspired by the
rewrite of CMenuExtender, we decided to do some rewriting on
MMExt aswell. It could take a while, but it will be a much
better program. Stay tuned.

Most of the new features has been implemented. A new release
is waiting around the corner. TODO-list has been reduced a bit.
2001 May 09
Input and suggestions from a user stirs things up and we
throw ourselves over the project anew. Now something might
happen and a new version can be made. TODO-list gets some
much needed new items.

TODO-list updated and fixed some spelling.

TODO-list updated.

Version 1.1 is released. Improved UI and stablility and the
Shade function are the most significant changes. Right now
we have run out of ideas on where to take the project
next. Unless users think of other functions or improvements,
the project will probably not develop much further.
2001 Jan 29
Current development version is 1.1.0.0. A new function called
Shade has been added for this version, after a suggestion
from a user. MMExt still doesn't work with maximized windows.
We made a fix for it, but it wasn't very useful. Another
known problem appears when MMExt is used with several
monitors, in which case the stretch-functions doesn't
work properly. Also, by design a window can't be
un-stretched. Unless lots of people requests it, those issues
will remain. The config-window has changed a bit after users
requests.
